The first time I saw this kit at my parlour when I had gone for a pedicure…it was during the winter season & the condition of my feet was very bad….but I was pretty impressed with this product…

The scrub is just like a normal scrub that we use on our faces..i guess the granules are a bit bigger…the scrub feels gud on the feet…after that the cream also does a gr8 job…u need to put that on the nails for the cuticles to loosen up a bit.

Pushing back the cuticles becomes much more easier without any hassles. And the last thing is the spray..as I don’t have smelly feet the spray doesn’t serve much purpose to me but I am sure this will be gr8 for people who hv foot odour.

On the whole after following all the steps…my feet feel clean & fresh & rejuvenated. And all this I can do at my convenience at my home as & when I desire. I agree it’s a bit of a hassle but you can save a lot of trips to the parlour & a lot of money too….

If yes, here are some easy ways by which you can get rid of that tan:

1. Exfoliate your skin to remove dead cells. There are lots of exfoliators available in the market.....Scrubbing with a loofah also helps.

2. Rubbing baking soda on wet skin is an age-old therapy.

3. Use grandma’s recipe — rub a puree of potatoes, tomatoes and papaya on the skin, leave on for some time and then wash it off.

4. Apply soothing sandalwood paste to the affected area.

5. If your skin is not only tanned but also burnt, apply chilled rose water.

LIPSTICK FINISHES

Lipsticks are one of their most popular products of Mac. Many a times one gets confused about the various finishes of these lipsticks.

Finishes:

AMPLIFIED CREME: High impact and high color with lots of shine for a dramatic look. If you like rich pigmented lipsticks, then Amplified would be your best lipstick. This one is the best bet for your money. You get exactly what you see in the tube. It goes on creamy & your lips feel soft

FROST: Shimmery frosted finish with high shine for a lot of glamour.

GLAZE: A shiny finish tinted with colour. Gives lips a sexy sheen. Lipsticks with Glaze finishes are usually two toned. It has glitters in it that has a different tone than the colour of the lipstick.

I am a big kohl person. Eyes are my best feature so I insist on accentuating them. Its been almost over 2 years since I am using the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner & I am head over heels in love with it.

The lasting power is amazing…I havent checked if it lasts 16 hrs or not…but it lasts through the day… and only smudges a tiny bit under my eye…especially if the weather is very humid…Mumbai weather !!!

It stays on even when I wash my face…I love how rich the black is and how easily it goes on my lids.

When I am not in a mood of liquid eyeliner or I am in a hurry…I prefer using the Colorstay Eyeliner as its fast & non fussy….self sharpening…if u need to put it on your eyelids you just need to pull your eyelid taught, as the formula is creamy & the pigment being great the color spreads evenly.

My only issue is that when you twist the stick the product comes out but one has to be very careful with it cos the product does not go in again….so you have to be very careful as to how much you twist.

The price is definitely on the higher side…but its worth it if you are a kohl person!!!

I love this nail polish…the colors are vibrant & fun !!
I have 4 from the colorama range.

Though as compared to Lakme & Revlon…the number of colors to choose from is very less…but all the colors are pretty wearable….

But yes Maybelline colorama chips & peels lesser than my other nail paints….and it doesn’t dry in the bottle as fast as my Lakme nailpaint bottles dry up..

Just recently I saw that they have come out with newer colors like yellow, blue, black, white & many other exciting shades…

I will put on the swatches soon………………

Strawberry Body Butter

Its been approx a week since I got this body butter from the body shop in Phoenix Mills…and lemme tell u that I am loving it :D

I love strawberries & I have always loved strawberries since childhood & the smell lifts my spirits immediately.

It feels heavenly as it melts onto the skin and you can actually feel it start to sink in right away. That doesn't mean that it just vanishes though; I can feel it absorb gradually.

I tend to use this product after taking a bath so that the smell lingers for a little while longer, and it is gr8!! But gradually the scent lingers away 

The tub is big enough to last me ages!! Also the fact that its in a tub you can choose how much you put on. My all over skin is dry & keeps on screaming for moisture all d time…and this body butter is for normal skin…so always be careful while selecting…and its better to select the body butter which suits your skin type!!

But one must avoid putting on too much on as it can get quite sticky. The cream is thick but not oily. The red packaging is quite cute as well. A hard plastic like Jar with a screw on lid so you can carry it along if u have to go somewhere.

It's fruity enough, however it's not 100% realistic; it smells less like actual strawberries. If you don't like foody scents you may not enjoy this though.

I wish it were available in a smaller pack…

Shahnaz Husain - Shafair

It says : A unique formulation containing Sandalwood and Andropogon muricatus extracts along with other powerful herbs. Helps the skin surface look fairer, brighter and more refined.

I hate this product…I seriously don’t know what was I thinking when I got this one…I really don’t think that I became fair at all….after using this I am sure that fairness creams are ultimate crap & they just play with your emotions….

Well there is nothing gud abt this cream at all….(except that it smells gud)… the consistency is thick & very greasy… I have combination skin..my cheeks are super-duper dry….so after applying this cream…my cheeks still feel dry…so I guess it doesn’t moisturise my skin at all…it just sits on the top of it….

Also it is written on the label that one should not expose the skin to the sun after applying Shafair…so I guess one can apply this only at night…now that I cant apply this to my face I have been applying this to my hands & feet.

I don’t have anything more to say about this except that don’t waste your money on products which just do nothing for you…after this debacle I never tried out any other Shahnaz Husain stuff…im scared !!

Do u swear by any Shahnaz Husain product….i wud love 2 know….leave behind your comments…

I comes in a little compact with a mirror & a sponge. Its very creamy but not messy and a little goes a long way. You will not need a concealer at all with this foundation but you need to finish this with a loose powder.

If you apply too much product then you get a heavy feeling but its not at all cakey but make sure that you get the right shade for you.

Though its not as popular as the Studio fix liquid….But its excellent at covering marks. It will be better if you don’t use the sponge given with it as the sponge absorbs a gud amount of the product…so the SA advised me to use any blending sponge or even a brush and apply the product lightly all over your face for that flawless look.

Its very pricey…You seriously don’t feel like shelling a lot of money looking at the size of the container.

Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush - Soft Plum

Maybelline’s website says:

I love the color of this blush though it looks darker in the pot. The texture is heavenly and very fluffy & it applies sheer but it is quite buildable. I don't like the glitter  the silver sparkles in it are crazy !!

If u a new makeup junkie then please be alarmed as too much of this product can end you up looking like a clown

There were just 2 shades….one in soft plum & the other ones name I don’t remember. But if you don’t like the shimmer it can be toned down a bit by using loose powder over it. U need just a tiny bit of the product & its gonna last a long time.

Other than the shimmer..its a gr8 product…must have for all those who love cream blushes & even for those who want to start using cream blushes.

Jordana Blushes

addictedtoblush.blogspot.com has already done a review on this. But i would also like to give my take.

These were the very first blushes that I bought...extremely cheap :) Just Rs.117

These are simply amazing very smooth , easy to blend & very nice colors and at an affordable price

I have two: one in Tawny Beige, Coral Sandy Beach. I really only need a little product to have a good result. The colors are very wearable but buildable if you need it.

More than Tawny Beige I prefer the Coral Sandy Beach & I am sure that it will go well on all Indian skin tones. Its a purrfect blush for daily wear & as well as for occasions.

Coral Sandy Beach:
My first Jordana blush from Beauty Centre, Khar. It is a warm peachy-apricot blush with fine gold shimmer. It is a gorgeous color indeed. This blush does have shimmer in it but it's so fine it looks like a beautiful golden sheen on my cheeks. Love it!

Tawny Beige is more of a bronzed pink color that is great for the apples without the doll-ish look so definitely great pink blush for medium skin tones.

The great thing about the blush powder is that its smooth and not too powdery so I swirl my brush all over the powder and the powder doesn't fly all over. The pigmentation is just nice.

If you just dust the powder once or twice ther will be very liitle color....for more color you'd need to apply 5-6 times before you can see any color. Its not as pigmented as Nyx or Revlon blushes. For all the ingredient conscious people..the list of ingredients is given at the back...

Staying power is quite impressive, I must say. I can still see a good amount of color on my cheeks by the end of the day even if it's no longer in a perfect shape.

The only probelm is that its available only at a few places. I wish I could get these even at the malls. Even in Beauty Centre you actually have to search for this counter...always in some corner which you wont even notice :(

They have many colors and more of browns & peaches than pinks. So you get confused thinking as to which color would look gud on you. Also the packaging isnt very impressive. But thats ok i guess !!

MAC Blush Ombre : Ripe Peach

Ripe Peach is about the most sought after MAC Blush from the Spring Forecast collection and I couldnt take my eyes off it. It looks so pretty in the pan. I wasn't really sure I would buy this. I did not want to give into the hype. But when you keep reading about how everyone raves about this and how fast it is sold out so it was very hard for a makeup addict like me to not buy it.

Each of the Blush Ombres has a gradient that fades from one color to another, but in reality, you just swirl your brush on top to apply a single shade. Each blush is 9 grams / 0.31 oz. and retails for Rs.1420

Ripe Peach is a peachy-orange with subtle gold sheen/shimmer. Like all of the blush ombres, the shimmer is very minimal and hard to see. I would urge you to not go by swatches or swatching alone. Have the MAC artist try some on your cheeks as I did notice the formula is not really something to warrant interest first swatch but once applied you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the beautiful glow each shade gives your cheeks and face. I feel like the shades are also very versatile as you can wear them in three separate ways. Use each side of the graduation for a darker or lighter blush or mix the two together to create an entirely new shade!

Well I was very lucky as I managed to grab the last piece from the MAC Store at Palladium, Phoenix Mills.

My take on it :

I have been using this product for almost 4 years now. It has its pros & cons.
But somehow i like it...and thats the reason I am still sticking with it. First & foremost it is really cheap & it does remove all the dirt & grime from your face.

Its perfect for all those girls who cannot shell out too much money for skincare. I havent had any problems with it and it lasts me a long time. Available in 50ml, 100ml, 200ml, 500ml, 1000ml.

Ya it does make my skin oily after i use it...and it cant even remove waterproof mascara :(
But after my cleanser I apply my Ayur Toner...so all that oiliness disappers & my skin feels refreshed...it feels really gud at the end of a long & tiring day.

Maybelline Watershine Liquid Diamonds Lip Gloss

I really adore lip glosses, I am like addicted to them. So I got the Maybelline Watershine Liquid Diamonds Lip Gloss in 06 Strawberry carats, I took the sponge-tipped applicator out of the bottle and inspected it. So far, so good. I chose this one because it was a nice pinky colour and not too bright. On the applicator it didn’t look too sparkly but there was a slight sparkle in it not very over powering though.

What surprised me was the fact that this lip gloss comes in very small amount (3ml) or maybe it just looks so because the bottle is very small. The bottle is transparent so that you can see the colour of the gloss without opening it and it has silver writing on the side with added stars for sparkle effect. It promises a diamond lip shine and moisturised lips at the same time.

The sparkling granules are really great because they give an even better shine to your lips but they disappear soon. But they aren’t making your lips rough because they are small and flat so you don’t even feel tham on your lips when you glide over them with your tongue However i kinda like it because it's non drying, non sticky, doesn't have taste or lingering smell and makes my lips look shiny but not in a very frosty/cheap way.

These are sheer, sparkly and fun. I kinda like it, however lasting power is very poor.

I am really satisfied with the shine but kind a disappointed with the lasting power. I would recommend this product to those who are want an excellent shine of their lips because this gloss will really make your lips shiny and glamorous. Just don’t expect it to last for a long time because it won’t. I mean, that shiny sparkling, full look of your lips will disappear in around 15 minutes and it will leave you with somewhat shiny lips or if you are wearing this lip gloss over your lipstick then the lipstick color stays behind.

I have tried the intensity or longevity of this lipstick and it could stay in your lips up to 10 hours. This lipstick has the unconventional formula in applying to your lips. The darker shade is for the base coat and the lighter color is for the highlight. The highlight makes the color more illusive making your lips fuller and sexier. Other lipstick solely has the boring side of offering one color but with MaxFactor the highlights gives you shimmering look on your lips.

Bad Part : When you apply it in the beginning so you will simply love it....the color payoff & the look is amazing....but soon the colored base sticks to your lips & u feel as if some kind of paint has been applied...does not wear off easily...actually does not wear off at all....I really had to rub hard with my remover...so hard that my lips turned red....So one more Max Factor product lies unused in my drawer...
